Setha Low Comments on Public Parks

Setha Low, an anthropology professor at the Graduate Center, City University of New York, directs the Public Space Research Group, which studies the health of the public commons across the United States. Again and again, she sees a confounding pattern…“No organized constituency speaks for parks,” Low notes. “So like schools and libraries, parks suffer from chronic underfunding.”
