Eddie Joel Pesante González is a cultural anthropology student at the CUNY Graduate Center. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Comparative Literature, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. Currently, he studies how Puerto Rican communities resist and survive in times of sociopolitical and environmental crises. In addition, he researches how the Puerto Rican New Song Movement relates to modern environmental discourse and claims of environmental justice.
