Psychology Student Honored by Psi Chi

Lillian Polanco-Roman, a doctoral student in clinical psychology based at City College, works in the Hunter College lab of Regina Miranda, a member of the doctoral faculty in psychology. Polanco-Roman won an award from Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, at the Eastern Psychological Association annual meeting in New York City in March, for her poster entitled, “Rumination, Cognitive Inflexibility, and Self-Harm Behavior in Emerging Adults.” The research was based on her analyses with two other lab members using data from Miranda’s NIH-funded study of cognitive predictors of suicidal behavior in young adults.
