Description

Produced by Breaking the Silence, an Israeli NGO established by IDF veterans in 2004, the book collects the testimonies of the young men and women in the Israeli army who know the truth about Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territory better than anyone because they are the people who carry it out.

Dana Golan was the executive director of "Breaking the Silence" from January 2009 until February 2013. She was born and raised on a moshav in central Israel. She joined the IDF in 2001 after high school, serving as a non-commissioned officer in the Education Corps at the Hebron Border Police Base.

Professor Dov Waxman (Associate Professor of Political Science, Baruch and GC) will offer comments.
