Art Science Connect

Art Science Connect supports substantial exchange between scientific and humanistic research at The Graduate Center. In our hyper-specialized world, we see the need for a productive dialogue between art, science, culture, and technology.
Established with funding from the James Family Charitable Foundation and the Al Held Foundation, Art Science Connect supports public programs, workshops, conferences, and fellowships that spark new ways for art and science to engage and inform each other.
Our public program series features leading artists and scientists in conversation to explore contemporary practices of art, science, and technology. The Art Science Connect Working Group is made up of interdisciplinary scholars from CUNY who work to bring art and science into communication.
Art Science Connect has a strong commitment to advance student scholarship driven by topics that intersect art and science. Each year we provide research and dissertation fellowships to doctoral students at The Graduate Center.
