The mission, vision, and goals of the doctoral program in Audiology at the Graduate Center are defined in our 2018-2022 Strategic Plan.

The strategic plan was informed by the mission statement of the Graduate Center and the previous strategic plans.

    Our Vision

    The AuD Program, a consortium between the Graduate Center, Brooklyn College and Hunter College all within the City University of New York, educates and trains students and promotes clinical Audiology with a commitment to the highest levels of academic and clinical competence, research and community service within the New York metropolitan area and the nation.

    Our Mission

    The mission of the CUNY Au.D. Program is to prepare audiologists to:

    1. Deliver exceptional hearing and vestibular assessment and management services to the culturally, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse population of the greater New York City metropolitan area;
    2. Serve as advocates for persons with hearing and/or vestibular impairment;
    3. Be active contributors to the clinical science that subserves Audiology and to the continuing development of the profession.

    Our Goals

    The overall goal of the Au.D. Program is to provide students within New York City, New York State, and the nation with the highest quality academic preparation and with varied and enriched clinical experiences so as to prepare them to be highly qualified autonomous clinicians providing state-of-the-art services to individuals of all ages with hearing loss.

    Mission of the CUNY Graduate School and University Center

    The Graduate Center is located in the heart of Manhattan and is set within the large and multicampus City University of New York. It fosters advanced graduate education, original research and scholarship, innovative university-wide programs, and vibrant public events that draw upon and contribute to the communities of New York City and beyond.
