Internships

Before applying to the MS in Cognitive Neuroscience Internship, carefully read the following:

This internship course will provide students the opportunity to undertake an internship related to their area of study in the MS Program in Cognitive Neuroscience. Students are required to submit the application and a letter outlining the internship from the organization to the Cognitive in Neuroscience program.

Prior to students being granted permission to enroll in the internship course, the Director of the program will consult with a representative of the organization in which the internship will be performed to determine the tasks to be carried out. These may not be clerical in nature but should involve substantial work related to the mission of the organization. The internship may be paid or unpaid.

A faculty member (TBA) will oversee the internship course and is to meet regularly with students to monitor their progress and to verify the internship is progressing accordingly.

Students are required to devote approximately 140 hours (10 hours a week, 14 weeks) to the internship and keep a weekly reporting of the student’s activities along with hours worked. A final report documenting the work carried out and hours worked along with site supervisor’s signature is mandatory. Email the final report to cogneuro@gc.cuny.edu one week before the end of the semester.

Upon approval, please contact the Registrar's Office at registrar@gc.cuny.edu; they will assist students enroll in the internship course. Students will not be able to enroll in the course through CUNYfirst.
