Web Content Accessibility
Anyone developing content (text, images, video, etc.) for the web must ensure that all the necessary elements are provided to make the content accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments. This generally means the following:
- Content should be compatible with assistive devices and software such as screen readers and voice inputs
- Content should be provided in multiple formats when appropriate (particularly media content like videos and podcasts)
- Content should be presented clearly and logically with consistent structures and formatting.
These requirements apply to web pages, embedded media and linked files.
