The Graduate School and University Center, in compliance with Sections 503 and 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended) and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (as amended), does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment on the basis of physical or mental impairment in regard to any position for which the employee or applicant is qualified. The Interim Chief Diversity Officer/Title IX Coordinator, Edith Rivera, in the President's Office, is designated to coordinate compliance with the affirmative action requirements of Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act.
It is required that all officers of administration, executive officers, office heads, faculty, and staff adhere to the requirements of Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and to the principles and requirements of The Graduate Center Affirmative Action Plan. Employees and applicants are protected under the Act from coercion, intimidation, interference, or discrimination for filing a complaint or assisting in an investigation.
