3111: Theatre Green Room

Internal Event

Part of the Theatre program's professionalization series, this session will provide resources for scholars and educators committed to anti-racism from the personal through the political.

Hosted By

This professionalization event will provide resources for scholars and educators committed to anti-racism from the personal through the political. Addressing our own locations within the concrete effects of white supremacy, colonialism, and patriarchy can help us design better syllabi, orient our classrooms and interactions around our values, and grow as scholars.

For the first hour we will discuss anti-racist approaches to research and syllabi construction, tactics for creating safe yet generative discussion spaces, and other ways of facilitating anti-racist classrooms. In the second hour, we encourage you to share your experiences, questions, and concerns as GTAs and/or adjuncts at CUNY campus. Student and faculty will be on hand to provide case-by-case suggestions. Hui Peng hosts.

Note: Please bear in mind that the Green Room has limited occupancy.
