Join MEMEAC for a conversation between Palestinian journalist Basel Adra and the executive director of the Jerusalem Fund Jehad Abusalim. The two will discuss recent events in Palestine, in particular, the West Bank and Gaza as well as their own experiences in documenting what happens in Palestine. 

Basel is an activist, journalist, and photographer from the village of a-Tuwani in Masafer Yatta, a Palestinian community living under the constant threat of forced displacement by the Israeli military. Through his work as a photographer, journalist, and storyteller, Basel works to uncover human rights violations in the occupied West Bank.

Jehad Abusalim is the Executive Director of the Jerusalem Fund for Education and Community Development, a Palestinian-led organization based in Washington, DC. He is also the co-editor of Light in Gaza: Writings Born of Fire, which was published by Haymarket in 2022. Jehad's writing has been featured in publications such as the Washington PostAl Jazeera, the New Arab, and Vox.
