Work with NYCLMIS

Since our founding in 2008, the New York City Labor Market Information Service has evolved from a joint venture between the New York City Workforce Investment Board and the City University of New York (CUNY) into a freestanding entity within the Center for Urban Research at the CUNY Graduate Center. We work with a range of partners, including representatives from government, philanthropy, nonprofits and private firms. Honors and Recognition

Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The NYCLMIS team was honored at the New York City Employment and Training Coalition’s (NYCETC) 2015 Opportunity Awards Reception for our commitment to innovation in the field of workforce development. This award recognizes our work with training and education providers and practitioners to help them better position their constituents for success in the labor market through data-driven approaches and for our innovations in the analytical uses of real-time labor market information.

We thank the NYCETC for the recognition. We also thank our partners, past and present, for their support, as well as for their commitment to workforce alignment. Finally, we express our deepest thanks to the Center for Urban Research and the CUNY Office of Academic Affairs for giving us the foundation to grow our work.

Adding to the honor of the award, November 4th issue of NYCETC’s NYC Workforce Weekly featured us and the two innovations we are being recognized for. Feel free to read the excerpted article or check out the whole issue.
