Maria-Cristina Necula (Ph.D. '19, Comparative Literature) won the 2022 New York Press Club Award in the Critical Arts Review category for her review of Matthew Aucoin's opera Eurydice at the Metropolitan Opera.
The awards ceremony took place on June 7 at the Water Club in Manhattan where journalists and editors from major newspapers, magazines, television networks, and internet media gathered to celebrate excellence in work that appeared during 2021–2022 in print, radio, television, and online.
