Colette Daiute Invited to Participate in Public Engagement Seminar

Professor Colette Daiute (Psychology/Urban Education) has been invited to participate in the 2015-2017 Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research, designed to consider the diverse ways the humanities can function in public life or as a public good.

Together with other CUNY faculty, students, and civic partners, Daiute will develop public programs throughout the city, as well as collaborate on a blueprint for future public humanities initiatives at CUNY. Specifically, she will focus on the theme of Narrating and Social Change" along with Professors Jeanne Theoharis (Brooklyn College) and Sujatha Fernandes (Queens College).

The seminar is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Office of Executive Vice Chancellor Julia Wrigley, and the Office of Provost Louise Lennihan at the Graduate Center. "
