Mollenkopf, a de Blasio neighbor and the director of the Center for Urban Research at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, said Mr. de Blasio's victory on Tuesday signaled "a big win for Brooklyn, which is appropriate given that it is our largest borough and, if you rank counties in the U.S. by Democratic votes, it is third" after Los Angeles County and Cook County, which includes Chicago.
