Ken Wissoker of Duke University Press to Convene GC Public Programming
Ken Wissoker, editorial director of Duke University Press, will join the Graduate Center in fall 2014 as director of intellectual publics and visiting distinguished lecturer. He will develop and convene programs for the GC, the university, and the public that will facilitate thinking and debate across the disciplines. As he told the Chronicle of Higher Education, he hopes "to organize events that will engage the region's many scholars 'to create a different ethos' of exploring key issues."
Wissoker, a renowned editor in scholarly publishing, is a noted speaker and consultant on all aspects of academic publishing and the contemporary intellectual landscape. He will continue in his role at Duke University Press, acquiring books and guiding the editorial program.
