Science Alumni Spotlight: Lilach Saperstein

Dr. Lilach Saperstein is an audiologist and educator helping families of deaf and hard of hearing children integrate their emotional journey with information and resources so they become powerful advocates for the children in their care. She is the producer and host of the All About Audiology podcast, which has been downloaded over 55,000 times, offering personal interviews related to audiology, communication, parenting, connection and advocacy. Dr. Saperstein completed her doctorate of audiology at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York in 2017, after attending the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College for her undergraduate studies.

The focus of her current work is in cultivating supportive online communities and facilitating discussion among parents of deaf and hard of hearing children in a unique online program called 'Connect & Advocate'. Dr. Saperstein teaches undergraduate audiology courses at Touro College Israel, in addition to guest lecturing at universities and parent support programs around the world. She currently lives in Israel, where she and her husband are raising their three bilingual daughters.
