Scientists Develop New Tool for Imprinting Biochips

Adam Braunschweig, lead researcher with the Nanoscience Initiative at The Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC) at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York, and his team have used 3-D printing concepts to develop a new, potentially more efficient and cost-effective method for preparing biochips, which are used to screen for disease development, bioterrorism agents and analyze other areas of research that involve biological components. The research team's paper appears in the March 8 issue of the journal Chem.
