Congratulations to Teresa O'Neill and Ignacio Montoya, who were awarded an Innovations in Language Education Grant from CUNY's Institute for Language Education in Transcultural Context for our project at Queens College entitled, "Engaging understudied languages through a science-core linguistics class."

GC Psychology Students Awarded Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships
The Graduate Center has awarded the Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships to 80 applications, including 8 Doctoral Psychology students. The following students will receive $22,000 stipend and in-state tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Biology Doctoral Student Wins NSF Graduate Research Fellowship
Maria Strangas, a doctoral student in the Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior subprogram of the Ph.D. Program in Biology, has been awarded a five-year Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. These highly competitive awards provide full funding for doctoral training to select students.
