Alexandra Foradas is a curator and art historian based in North Adams, MA, and New York, NY. She is currently Curator at MASS MoCA, where her work frequently addresses technologies of knowledge transmission, including libraries, the internet, myths and legends, translation, ritual, and embodied experience. Foradas has organized solo exhibitions by Taryn Simon (2018, 2021), Jenny Holzer (2017, 2019), EJ Hill (2022; catalogue 2023), and Jason Moran (2022) among others, and the group exhibitions Bibliothecaphilia (2015) and Kissing through a Curtain (2020; catalogue 2021). Upcoming projects include a group exhibition about technologies of magic (2023). She has taught at Hunter College and RISD, and has been a guest lecturer or critic at institutions including UMass Amherst, MassArt, Temple University, Art OMI, The Wassaic Project, The Elizabeth Murray Artist Residency, and the Williams College Museum of Art.
