Bethany L. Rogers is a Professor in the Educational Studies department at the College of Staten Island. A historian of education, she uses the lens of the past to understand educational inequities today, focusing her research primarily on the postwar history of teachers, urban communities and schooling, and education reform, as well as the connection of those histories to contemporary policy.
