Brent Matheny is an M.A. Student in philosophy at the CUNY Graduate Center. His current area of interest is at the intersection of the philosophy of language and normative ethics, specifically how a feminist ethic of care might mutually reinforce a broadly neo-pragmatist understanding of language and normativity. In addition to this project, he has emerging interests in Buddhist and East Asian philosophy. He works as a Project Editor at Oxford University Press assisting on books in philosophy, religion, history, and classics. He is also Associate Editor of ROOM: A Sketchbook for Analytic Action, an online and print magazine that brings together political commentary and psychoanalytic insight for a general audience. Brent received his BA in philosophy with a minor in mathematics from Kenyon College in 2019. Florida man at heart. (he/him)
