Charlie Overton is currently a PhD student at the Graduate Center specializing in Geography. His research interests are centered around the climate crisis with a focus on the social side of resilience building, adaptation, and transformation. While at CUNY, he will be working alongside Dr. William Solecki and the Consortium for Climate risk in the Urban Northeast (CCRUN) to uncover barriers to multi-scalar resilience building between rural and urban areas in the Northeast of the United States. Furthermore, the research will focus on how to analyze adaptation successes at the community level to transfer lessons learned to other communities and scales. Charlie comes to the Geography PhD program at CUNY having spent two years in London where he received his MSc in Environment and Development from King's College London.
