I am a professor of petroleum geology and geophysics. Prior to coming to CUNY, I worked at "Al. I. Cuza" University of Iasi, Romania, and University of Oklahoma. As author, co-author and editor, I published 20 books and book-chapter and over 90 peer-reviewed articles and extended abstracts in USA, Germany, Canada, Romania and other countries. Currently, my research focuses on carbon dioxide capture and sequestration, applying artificial intelligent approaches in petroleum geosciences, and studying the overpressure regimes in sedimentary basins.
