Deborah Leter is a PhD student in cultural anthropology at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). Her research focuses on France-Africa relations, social imaginaries, colonial legacies and neo-colonialism, utopian thinking and questions of futurity, Francophone postcolonial theory, literature, art, and cultural spaces. She is interested in multi-sited ethnography and inter-disciplinary research, including documentary filmmaking. Franco-American and raised in France, Deborah has a BA in Anthropology from Haverford College. She teaches anthropology at Hunter College.
