Dr. Karen Ackroff is a member of the doctoral faculty in the Cognition, Brain and Behavior subprogram in Psychology. She is Co-Director of Dr. Anthony Sclafani’s Feeding Behavior and Nutrition Laboratory at Brooklyn College. Her research interests are in the psychology of learning, behavioral ecology and nutrition. Current research focuses on the role of flavor learning in carbohydrate and fat appetite. She is a founding member of the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior and has served twice on its Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Animal Behavior Society and the Association for Chemoreception Sciences.
