My research interests focus on past climate reconstructions using various climate proxies. In the past, I have reconstructed past climate using Bosnian pines from Valia Kalda National Park and examined the environmental conditions of flora in Acadia National Park using methods of dendrochronology. Currently, I investigate the mechanisms that drive temperature variations in the West Pacific Warm pool using measurements of d18O, d13C, and Mg/Ca in planktonic foraminifera Globigerinoides ruber.

I have a BS/MS in information and measuring systems in oil and gas industry from Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gass in Moscow, Russia; MS in Earth and Environmental Sciences from CUNY College of Staten Island.
