- Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education at the University of Virginia
Dr. Mary Bushnell Greiner earned her Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education at the University of Virginia, and her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. She also studied Pedagogy and Ethnography at the University of Lund, Sweden. Her research engages intersections of schooling and democracy, with particular concern for teacher education, policy, and cultural constructions of education for a democratic citizenry. She also serves as an elected school board member in a Long Island public school district.
