Rachel Valinsky is a doctoral student in Art History at The Graduate Center, CUNY. She is currently a Curatorial Fellow at The Kitchen, and a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Hunter College. Alongside her academic research, Rachel's writing has been published in Art in America, Bomb Magazine, East of Borneo, Millennium Film Journal, C Magazine, and The Third Rail, among others. She was an art writer-in-residence at the Banff Centre in 2015 and an art critic-in-residence at CUE Art Foundation and Art21 Magazine in 2016.
