Ratna Sircar

Dr. Ratna Sircar is a professor of Psychology at the City College of New York, and director of the Laboratory for Neuropsychopharmacology. Her research focuses on the biochemical and molecular characterization of several critical brain receptors, and the role they play in mediating neurobehavioral effects in developing and adult animals. Specific research interests include cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying drug addiction, teenage drinking, learning and memory, developmental neuroplasticity, and neurobiology of the adolescent brain. Her laboratory employs a multidisciplinary approach using molecular, neurochemical and behavioral techniques.
