Professor of 19th-Century American Art

Professor Emerita Sally Webster can be found most days, when she's not in Maine, in the Wertheim Study at the New York Public Library where she is completing her next book: Liberty's Heroes: War and Commemoration in Eighteenth-Century New York. Her most recent publication, "Unitarianism and the Iconography of Democracy: Decorations for the Library of Congress," appears in the October, 2010 issue of Library Quarterly. An article on the Huntington Murals housed at Yale University's Art Gallery will be published in The Magazine Antiques in 2011.
