European art of the long nineteenth-century, with a particular focus on France and Germany, with a minor in history of photography. Notions of social protest and the interaction between identity and the environment have been the guiding precepts of Samantha's academic practice, particularly as expressed via the medium of print. She is presently engaged in a theoretical examination of Symbolist graphic arts.
Samantha is currently a Curatorial Assistant at the Guggenheim Museum. Prior to the Guggenheim she worked in the studio of photographer Nathalie Daoust, and in the Curatorial Department at the Blanton Museum of Art.
