Terri N. Watson is an Associate Professor in the department of Learning, Leadership, and Culture at The City College of New York. She began her career as an educator in a Harlem middle school over 25 years ago. She earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Florida Atlantic University. Her dissertation, Florida's Definition and Subsequent Calculations of a Public High School Graduate: A Critical Race Theory Analysis, was named dissertation of the year by FAU's College of Education. Her current research employs a Black feminist lens to examine the instructional leadership practices of Black women school leaders.
