The Writing Center
The Writing Center assists current and past graduate students in the cultivation of advanced writerly skills and habits through individual consultations, workshops, and other programming. As one of the few writing centers in the country that specifically serves the needs of graduate students, the Center works to ask and answer the question of what services a graduate writing center can and should offer.
Office of Career Planning and Professional Development
The Office of Career Planning & Professional Development supports the Graduate Center’s students in exploring and understanding career paths and achieving their professional goals. Services offered include one-on-one career advisement, writing consultations, events, workshops, and digital resources.

Centers and Institutes at The Graduate Center
The Graduate Center is home to more than 30 interdisciplinary research centers and institutes focused on areas of compelling social, civic, cultural, and scientific concerns. Two-thirds of the external funding GC researchers receive is facilitated through a center or institute.
RSP oversees the internal governance of all centers and institutes, providing our staff with valuable insight into the inner workings of these entities.
